Manufactured circa late 17th-18th centuries. P COR SCIPIO AFRICAs., bareheaded and draped bust right / Incuse of obverse portrait. M. Jones, "Una serie completa di ritratti di grandi uomini dell'antichità ed artisti del Rinascimento eseguiti da Claude Warin," Medaglie XI.18 (1983), no. 80. As made, brown surfaces, numerous fine scratches on portrait. On reverse, "1824" in India ink and traces of red mounting wax.
