Sasanian Kingdom. Khusru II. A.D. 591-628. AE pashiz (16.4 mm, 0.72 g, 1 h). NM, ND. Probably struck posthumously, ca. A.D. 628 or later. Crowned bust right / Fire altar with ribbons and two attendants. Göbl 126 var. aVF. Rare.

Illegible word to right of the bust on obverse, no evidence of inscriptions for date or mint. This stylized type was most likely struck after Khusru's death in 628, perhaps officially or privately under Arab rule in the 640s or somewhat later. The type appears to be unpublished.
