EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Roman Republican. Geto-Dacians. After 56 BC. AR Denarius (20mm, 3.62 g, 5h). Imitating obverse of C. Naevius Balbus, reverse of Faustus Cornelia Sulla. Diademed head of Venus right; S C to left / Three military trophies between a capis and lituus. Davis Class A, Group II, M157 (this coin). For prototype: cf. Crawford 382/1 (obv.) and 426/3 (rev.). Fine, slightly off center, a few light scratches on obverse.
