Chimu-Inca Bottle from Peru, ca 1300 - 1500 AD. A fine Chimu-Inca figural vessel from Peru, ca. 1300 - 1500 AD. This nicely burnished blackware example is 5-1/4" high and features a human head adorned with a large labret. Sican stylistic influence can be seen in the shape of the eyes and the form of the labret, perhaps indicating the depiction of a prisoner. In perfect condition, with intact suspension loops and strong mineral deposits. Ex Gallatin estate. Value range: $300 - $500.
