Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Rudolf August 2 Taler 1686-RB MS61 NGC, Zellerfeld mint, Rudolf Bornemann as mintmaster, KM531.3, Dav-114 (LS). Beautifully toned, with gold-accented cobalt bathing the surfaces. Despite some traces of striking weakness, the overall level of detail is excellent; the relief contrasting nicely with the underlying flashiness of the fields, particularly on the reverse. There are few obvious marks to be found without the aid of a glass, although some slight annealing flaws may be found peppered throughout along with traces of die maintenance work and die rust.From the Cape Coral Collection of Multiple Talers
