Basel. City 2 Taler ND (c. 1640) AU58 PCGS, cf. KM-A95, Dav-1740 (LS-586), HMZ-277a, Divo-85. A stunning example of the issue, nearly Mint State in terms of preservation, and easily surpassing most survivors, even those deemed technically finer, in terms of eye appeal. Placed on a sound flan and well struck with only a few breast feathers of the eagle lacking full definition. Exceptional multicolored tone has settled over the raised surfaces on both sides giving an appearance that is sure to resonate loudly with collectors. From the Redwood Collection of Swiss Coins
