Basel. City gold Goldgulden ND (1790) MS63 PCGS, KM182, Fr-31, HMZ-295c. Entirely choice for the issue with a better-than-average strike that gives sharp definition to most of the design and leaves little evidence of planchet adjustments, which is often encountered. One of two varieties noted for the type, this example displaying arch-like ornamentation around the arms with the addition of a floral accent.
