Switzerland
Helvetic Republic gold 16 Franken 1800-B MS64 Prooflike NGC, Bern mint, KM-A12, Fr282, HMZ 2-1184a. An exceptionally scarce one-year type that was struck during the brief occupation of Switzerland by Napoleon. The surfaces are drenched in citrus-tinged gold, with low-lying mirrors that are full of flash and impeccably-rendered design elements that express a light frost. Rare in both availability and in this well-preserved quality, presently the finest-known certified example in this coveted Prooflike designation. From the Redwood Collection of Swiss Coins
