Zurich. City gold Ducat 1734/30 MS63 PCGS, KM140, Fr-486a, HMZ-21161x. While sometime encountered in fraction form (as 1/4 and 1/2 ducats), seldom seen as a full ducat. Along with being the top example graded at PCGS, the present ducat must be among the finest extant of the date, with the added allure of a clear 0 beneath the 4 in the date. Technically high-end for the grade, limited handling exists on both sides with thick golden tone that clings to the raised surfaces confirming absolute originality. Well-struck save for a small area of incompleteness in the reverse centers.
