A highly original example of this popular rampant lion ducat issue, with alluring gold tone and sparkling luster that enlivens the surfaces. Although more trade coinage was issued out of Zurich than any other Swiss minter of the period, far fewer ducats survive today than their 1/4 and 1/2 ducat counterparts.
