Confederation 5 Francs 1850-A MS64 PCGS, Paris mint, KM11, Dav-376, HMZ-21197a. Visually superb, with creamy, pewter-toned surfaces that are highlighted by an impressive amount of honeydew, amber, and teal coloration--all of which envelope the iconic image of Helvetia in enticing brilliance. The complimentary reverse contains the same melange of color, but in a darker and denser format. Only a few minor ticks are noted in the expanses, but they fold rather nicely into the surrounding patination. While this may not be the finest-known example, it is likely among the most beautiful.
