Confederation gold Proof Pattern 20 Francs 1871 PR63 NGC, Bern mint, KM-Pn17, HMZ-21225a, Divo Proben-9. A rare pattern that predates the commencement of gold coinage in 1883, with full mint brilliance that easily traverses the honeyed, reflective mirrors and soaring rims that halo the surfaces. The definition throughout the design illustrations is decidedly choice for the grade--with each leaf expressing pinpoint exactness--and other than mild wisps across the expanses, the fields are free of any distractions.
