Philip V Real 1732 Mo-F VG Details (Saltwater Damage, Cleaned) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM75.1. Another salvage coin, with less actual wear than what is suggested by the designation yet showing more heavily pitted surfaces than the previous lot. The excessively rare variety for the date showing assayer initial "F" on the reverse, many times more elusive than the no-assayer one despite not being generally acknowledged as such. Absent in the Norweb, Gerber, Patterson, D. Gray and Banco de Mexico holdings and one of only two examples seen by the cataloguer. As such, a truly landmark opportunity for the advanced collector who desires to attempt completeness in this highly challenging series. From the Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins, Part III
