Philip V Real 1733 MX-F XF Details (Plugged) NGC, Mexico City mint, KM75.1. Well detailed with limited actual wear and plugging evidence atop the crown on the obverse, per the assigned grade. Extremely rare as are all the minor denominations of the "MX" mintmark variety with the single assayer initial "F". Missing in the Norweb, Gerber and Patterson collections and one of only two offerings of this variety noted in recent years by the cataloguer, thus vastly desirable despite the noted impairments. No specimens have been currently certified at NGC, as could be expected. Ex. Porraz Collection (Ponterio 6/1985, lot 203 for $2,100 (!) where it was described as "only the second specimen known").From the Rudman Collection of Mexican Coins, Part III
Estimate: 2500-3500 USD
