ΛEYKIΠΠO[Σ] , bearded head of Leucippus right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet, pushed back on head, the bowl decorated with Scylla hurling a stone / Two six-grained barley ears, each with a curly leaf to outside; M-[E] across outer fields, ΣI between. Johnston G5.1/5.3 (these dies). HN Italy 1630. SNG ANS 397–8. A nearly perfect specimen, sharply struck from dies of superlative style. NGC Choice AU★ 5/5 - 5/5, Fine Style. Ex Dr. Lawrence A.
