Republic gold 8 Escudos 1832/1 RA-P AU Details (Repaired) NGC, La Rioja mint, KM21, Fr-2, Onza-1566. Entirely presentable for the issue, with design detail that is essentially full and a flan that is absent cracks or other as-made distractions. Unfortunately, the surfaces have been processed or "whizzed" in the fields, leaving microscopic pebbling that creates a uniformity that isn't unattractive to the eye. Additionally, heavier tooling appears to have once existed around the A in PROVINCIAS, and was quite possibly the reason for the broader whizzing of the surfaces. Despite its shortcomings, still an attractive coin, and as a classic gold issue struck during an era of fledgling republics, highly demanded at all levels and in all conditions.
