People's Republic Bi-metallic Proof 500 Yuan 1996 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM897, Cheng page 199, #4, PAN-261a, 5 oz. gold & 2 oz silver. Obv. Temple of Heaven in gold center within outer silver ring. Rev. Two Panda's eating bamboo. In NGC Jumbo holder with #54 of a very small mintage of 199 pieces. Much rarer than the listed mintage might indicate. This is the largest denomination of the unusual bi-metallic issues, and the 5 ounce pieces rarely appear for sale in the marketplace. Included is COA #54 and a third party wooden case.
