Frederik VI gold 2 Frederiks d'or 1835-FF MS62 PCGS, Altona mint, KM700, Hede-3 (RR). An exceptional representative from this fleeting issue, presenting simplistic, yet alluring imagery surrounded by open fields that shimmer with radiant light. Light porosity is noted atop the obverse portrait of the King, likely from rusted dies, and while a number of random ticks are scattered throughout, the appeal of this selection remains pleasingly bold. A difficult piece to acquire at this level, with less than a handful of certified Mint State examples noted for the type, and currently unmatched in technical quality for this date.
Estimate: 5000-6000 USD
