Philippe VI (1328-1350) gold Pavillon d'or ND MS62 NGC from 8 June 1339, Fr-266, Dup-251. ⚜ PhILIPPVS : DEI : GRA : FRANChORVM : REX, king seated facing on throne holding scepter beneath draped canopy / + o XPC : VINCIT : XPC : REGNAT : XPC : IMPERAT, floriate cross within quadrilobe with trefoils in angles and crowns in spandrels. A magnificent example of this very scarce type, lustrous and superbly struck only marginally off-center on a straight flan of good metal.
