ITALY(Uncertain). 18th century. Scale and weights. Brass balance scale held in rectangular, leather-covered box with floral-pattern border around lid. Recesses in case hold brass weights for various European gold coins (13 total). Two clasps secure the case. Dimensions of case: 17.7 x 7.6 x 1.9cm. Cf. Malter XII, lot 178; cf. Malter VII, lot 100-101. Minor damage to leather cover and a few stains inside of case.
