Brass balance scale held in rectangular, leather-covered box with lid decorated with alternating registers of rosettes within lozenges and parallel lines. Recesses in case hold various brass coin weights (9 total). Two clasps secure the case. Dimensions of case: 17.7 x 7.6 x 1.9cm. Minor damage to case, balance's vertical post is broken off.
