ITALY(Uncertain). 18th century. Scale and weights. Brass balance scale held in rectangular, leather-covered box with lid decorated with a central lis. Recesses in case hold various brass coin weights (15 total). Also includes 5 sheets of metal stamped or inscribed with various weights/values. Two clasps secure the case. Dimensions of case: 20.2 x 8.6 x 2.4cm. Pans stained. Leather cover heavily worn.
