SPAIN. Early 19th century. Scale and weights. Balance scale with pans. Includes four brass weights: 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce, and 1/8 ounce (1/16 ounce is missing). All housed in a rectangular, hinged wooden case. A hinged locker would have originally held additional small weights. Front clasps of case are missing. Dimensions of case: 16.2 x 9.1 x 3.1cm. Aside from missing elements, a well-preserved and attractive piece.
