ALBANIA. Mixed Minor Coinage, ca. 1926-2000. FINE to GEM PROOF.
46 pieces in lot. Comprehensive type collection with 18 different Krause catalog numbers and a nice array of dates for several of the issues. Includes plenty of Ahmet Zogu issues with 9 coins in silver including no fewer than four of the 1935 Albania 2 Franga. Quarter Leks dated 1926 and 1927, Half Leks dated 1926 (4), 1930 and 1931, and Lek coins dated 1926 (4), 1927, 1930 (5) and 1931 (2), plus four of the 1935 Franga and one 1937 Franga coins. The Zog issues are generally problem free with a number of pieces in uncirculated. From the Italian occupation issues, nearly every type is represented including both the silver 5 Lek (2) and 10 Lek in high grade. Moderns include a large 1968 silver 25 Leke proof in capsule, along with 5 Leke silver proofs dated 1969 and 1970 (both better dates), as well as a 2000 dated bimetallic 100 Leke. Generally problem free material with many high grade coins, including a substantial number in uncirculated. Catalog value of approximately $1,400. Inspection advised. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
