D-3240; KM-1238. Also known as Leopold The Hogmouth, a great patron of the musical arts and a strong supporter of the counter-reformation. A two year only issue with an expressive portrait with full facial details and every strand of hair fully struck up. Even medium tone with an amalgam of underlying colors enhanced by subtle luster. The center Eagle of Tyrol on the reverse displays every feather. An exceptionally nice example, far better than typically encountered. NGC MS-64.
