BELGIAN CONGO. 5 Franc, 1894. PCGS MS-63 Secure Holder.
KM-8.1. The only example graded at PCGS for the date, and tied with a single additional coin at NGC at this level with none finer. Depicts Leopold II on the obverse, arguably the wealthiest individual in the world at time this crown was struck, with a personal fortune estimated to be greater than even the Rothschild family. An impressive piece, with even light pewter toning that lends a nearly high relief look to the portrait and reverse coat of arms.
