BRAZIL. 1,600 Reis (Escudo), 1768-B. Bahia Mint. Jose I (1750-77). NGC EF-45.
Fr-71; KM-181.1; LMDB-O362; Gomes-48.12. VERY RARE. With the few surviving examples typically impaired in some way, encountering a straight graded piece with original mint bloom in the legends is a noteworthy offering indeed. A touch of strike weakness seen in the lower left quadrant of the reverse, in all other respects premium quality for the assigned grade.
