BRAZIL. Four Piece Discovery Anniversary Set & Medal, 1900. NGC MS-62 to MS-63.
KM-499-502.1; LDMB-677/80. The classic Quadricentennial Anniversary set with denominations of 400, 1,000, 2,000 and 4,000 Reis coins. The 4,000 Reis is the sixteen ray variety. A nicely matched set with a variance of only one point (the smallest and largest denominations having the lower grades) and all similar in appearance. Mostly even old envelope slate toning with some light orange hues on all pieces with attractive underlying luster on all pieces. Also included is a 20.2 mm silver medal featuring a view of Cabral's ships at sea with the date and centennial inscription in the legend on the obverse and a radiant sun and date of Brazil's independence on the reverse. The medal is highly lustrous with only a touch of golden orange toning in the periphery and is lightly cleaned UNCIRCULATED. A handsome set worthy of a premium bid with an extra medal as a bonus. NGC MS-62 to MS-63.

Estimate: $1200.00- $1600.00
