BRAZIL. Mixed Date & Mint 960 Reis, ca. 1812-24. VERY FINE to ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.
25 pieces in lot. A fine study group with at least one example of every date in the above range except 1821-23. Slightly heavier in Bahia mint issues than Rio mint, 15 and 10 pieces respectively. With duplication of some years, mostly 1815 and 1820 of which examples from both mints are present. As is the common case with these issues there is evidence of the Spanish colonial 8 Reales over which they were struck but of note are four pieces which are struck over 8 Reales from Santiago Chile. All showing minimal to moderate wear but none with any egregious surface issues and only some light cleaning notable. A few pieces with nice remaining luster and attractive light toning. Retail value in excess of $2,100. Well worth a close inspection to those interested in these popular Brazilian Crowns. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. VERY FINE to ALMOST UNCIRCULATED.

Estimate: $900.00- $1200.00
