BRITISH WEST AFRICA. Mixed Certified Coinage, ca. 1909-52. NGC, PCGS, ICG AU-50 to PCGS MS-66.
28 pieces in lot. A panoply of nearly every denomination issued during the twentieth century for British West Africa, and lacking only an example of the 1/2 Penny. All pieces are certified by NGC, PCGS or ICG. All but three have been given MINT STATE grades, with only a single coin Details graded. Strongest in Shillings from George V including up to gem 1913 issues (KM-12). As the assigned grades would imply all are quite attractive with toning ranging from very light pearlescent silver to deep cabinet gray with cobalt blue highlights. A strong assemblage which is ideal for the collector looking to upgrade and expand a collection of British colonial coinage. Retail value of about $1,700. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS.
