EL SALVADOR. Two Piece Mint Set, 1925-Mo. PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder.
Fr-5; KM-131 & 132. SCARCE. Quadricentennial Founding of San Salvador. The obverse features Conquistador Alvarado and President Quiñonez busts facing left; Reverse: Arms of the Republic. The gold 20 Colones (Mintage 200) is tied for finest graded at PCGS, with the Colon (Mintage 1,000) a point from finest at PCGS. A nicely matched pair with plum and gunmetal toning on the silver issue, and warm radiant orange from the gold issue. Both are well struck and tantalizingly desirable coins, especially at this elevated grade level. Includes contemporary after market case. Both pieces graded PCGS MS-65 Secure Holder.
