cf.Fr-26; KM-PN8; Gill-RT8. RARE. Struck in gold. Mule between the obverse pattern die for the silver 1/8 Birr and the reverse die for the Menelik 1/32 Birr (Besa). Struck at Addis Ababa from rusty dies and thought to be struck under Haile Selassie after he became emperor to give as gifts NGC MS-62.
