Fr-329; Duplessy-658; Cian-913. Crowned shield of France, flanked by two ermine, porcupine below; Reverse: Cross flory with crowned ermine in the angles. A handsome example that is instantly identifiable for type and with very little strike doubling evident. The detail in the porcupine is amazing, with the tongue, eyes and ears fully formed and razor sharp. Struck on a high quality flan with glistening luster and light tone in the protected areas of the design. A highly attractive example of the type that is sure to attract much interest. NGC MS-63.
