KM-606.1; Gad-39; Dup-1720. First year of issue for the type, and a design that marked the beginning of the end for Louis XVI. Royal portrait on the obverse with reference to "LIBERTE" in the reverse legend in exergue. Boldly struck with brilliant white lustrous surfaces and a few light adjustment marks. A significant piece both historically and numismatically. NGC MS-62.
