FRANCE. "Hundred Days" 2 Franc, 1815-A. Napoleon. PCGS AU-53 Secure Holder.
KM-703; Gad-510. VERY SCARCE. The larger denominations, while expensive, are at least generally available for those collectors wanting a piece dated after Napoleon's return from Elba. The same can not be said for the silver 2 Francs, with the piece offered here having a mintage of just 6,783 and with very few surviving examples available to collectors today. A handsome example with medium gray coloration and very little wear, the grade perhaps being a product of limited luster more than anything else. Flawless rims add to the premium quality of the piece. A coin with a great story that will bring an added dimension to the collection it joins. PCGS AU-53 Secure Holder.
