GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. 3 Mark, 1915-A. NGC MS-66.
KM-1161. SCARCE. The much more desirable obverse legend missing "U LUNEB" and with a minuscule mintage of just 1,700 pieces. The single finest graded example at NGC and tied with a single additional coin at PCGS. Mostly brilliant with speckled dark tea color tone lending character to the surfaces. Fully original and an always in demand type. A similar piece a point lower sold in 2014 for $3,290 at Heritage. Struck as World War I raged all over Europe, with the end of the war permanently erasing this German state from the map. A chance to acquire this historically significant piece that should be seriously considered. NGC MS-66.

Estimate: $1500.00- $2000.00
