GERMANY. Brunswick-Wolfenbuttel. 5 Mark, 1915-A. NGC MS-64.
KM-1163. VERY SCARCE. The much more desirable obverse legend missing "U LUNEB" and with a minuscule mintage of just 1,400 pieces. Tied for finest graded with one other piece at NGC, and with none graded at PCGS. Mostly brilliant with speckled dark tea color tone lending character to the surfaces. Struck as World War I raged all over Europe, with the end of the war permanently erasing this German state from the map. A compelling seldom offered piece worthy of serious consideration. NGC MS-64.
