GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, 1646. Newark Besieged. Charles I (1625-49). PCGS AU-50 Secure Holder.
S-3146. Siege coinage. One of the finest surviving examples of the denomination. Minor wear seen along the beaded border on both sides, with the central devices nearly as struck. Slight doubling seen in the crown, and with a fabulous gray-blue sheen to the medium toned surfaces. Solid for the grade and a very desirable piece as such. PCGS AU-50 Secure Holder.
From the Rye Collection.
Estimate: $1800.00- $2400.00
