L&S-214; ESC-2055 (formerly 221). Tall bare laureate bust right, beneath in script JM. D TW. F.; Reverse: Four crowned cruciform shields, with badge of garter in center, rose, thistle, shamrock and Hanover horse in angles. Mills fecit along edge. Contemporary correspondence at the time this pattern was struck, indicate the portrait is one Pistrucci himself felt was his finest of George III. It is easy to understand why, a very attractive piece with antique pewter toning that has been expertly repaired. PCGS Genuine--Repaired, AU Details Secure Holder.
