GUATEMALA. 2 Escudos, 1830/29-NGM. NGC AU Details--Removed from Jewelry.
Fr-28; KM-12. RARE, and indicated as such in Krause with a footnote referring to the April, 2005 sale of the Eliasberg specimen which brought $16,100 in (MS-65 PL). Clearly this coin is not as well preserved, but that doesn't make it any less rare. The damage appears to be confined primarily to the edges, with generous amounts of remaining detail. Very clear overdate! A coin missing from most collections and highly desirable regardless of impairment. NGC AU Details--Removed from Jewelry.
