KM-18; Nesmith-58; Cal-Type-58#79. Much better assayer. Several minor flan cracks at the edges, likely the result of the superior strike the coin received when made. An exquisite amount of detail in the devices and legends with virtually no strike doubling and deep even tone. We sold a similar example in the same grade that was knocked down for $2,820 including premiums at our November Baltimore Sale, with the piece offered here having a considerably better strike. NGC MS-61.
