MEXICO. Empire of Iturbide. 4 Escudos, 1823-MoJM NGC EF Details--Excessive Surface Hairlines.
Fr-61; KM-312. Unlike the larger 8 Escudos which were struck for two years using two different die designs, the 4 Escudo was only struck in 1823, and with Iturbide being deposed in March of that same year, one can rightfully conclude the type is RARE in any condition. Light surface hairlines but with plenty of original prooflike field concealed within the legends. One of the nicer surviving examples regardless of the details grade assessment. NGC EF Details--Excessive Surface Hairlines.
Estimate: $2000.00- $2500.00
