MEXICO. Empire of Maximilian. Peso, 1866-Mo. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder.
KM-388.1. The toning is the real attraction here, though the MS-62 grade is worthy of mention as well with few remaining in this technical state of preservation. The obverse is a riot of greens, teals and turquoise that yield at the rims to rose and amber. While the reverse is not quite as dramatic, it too has a highly attractive toned blue gray silvery patina with iridescent highlights. Sharply struck with few marks or abrasions.
