NETHERLANDS. Utrecht. Ducaton (Silver Rider), 1790. PCGS MS-62.
KM-92.1; D-1832. Population of one with two finer at PCGS, and none seen in mint state at NGC. With the exception of colonial Spain, few countries made as much of an improvement in the quality of their coinage during the course of 18th century than the Netherlands. Beginning with truly crude coinage and ending the century with the high quality seen here was quite an accomplishment. Fully original surfaces with glistening bright luster; an incredibly well fabricated piece with every last detail fully transferred from die to flan. PCGS MS-62.
