Doge kneeling before Saint Mark, 'MP' above; Reverse: Christ standing, flanked by four stars on left, five stars on right. d'Aubusson was a Grand Master of the order of St. John of Jerusalem (the Knights Hospitaller) and a zealous opponent of the Ottoman Empire. A fabulous late middle ages issue in magnificent condition, with lightly toned orange gold surfaces and struck on a high quality flan. NGC AU-58.
