ROMANIA. Pattern 5 & 20 Bani, 1905. Brussels Mint. NGC PROOF-63 CAMEO to PROOF-64.
Stamb-47-1.9, cf.55-1.10. All struck in copper-nickel. A single 5 Bani with the highly coveted CAMEO designation, along with a pair of 20 Bani coins including one with the CAMEO designation. Choice to nearly gem examples, with the 20 Bani coins being unlisted in Stambuliu (listed only as a piefort). A light glaze of tone on several of the pieces, with the 20 Bani PROOF-63 CAMEO piece being easily the most desirable of the threesome with nearly untoned brilliance and the regal look of a special striking. NGC PROOF-63 CAMEO to PROOF-64.
