RUSSIA. 2 Ruble, 1756. Elizabeth I (1741-61). PCGS AU-50 Secure Holder.
Fr-115; C-23.1; Bit-51; Sev-204. Without mintmark. Mintage of 53,000 with very few surviving in high grade. PCGS has only seen a single example in Mint State (MS-61) with just 14 coins seen in all ALMOST UNCIRCULATED grades. A well struck piece with original bloom in the obverse legend, and a phenomenal amount of detail in the tiara. No major marks of abrasions, an all around superior example of the type.
