RUSSIA. 10 Ruble, 1766-CNB. Catherine II (the Great) (1762-96). NGC EF-45.
Fr-129a; C-79a; Bit-14(R1); Sev-277. Wear confined almost exclusively to the hair and cheek with the remainder of the coin displaying an extravagant amount of detail for the assigned grade. A circumferential band of original surface extends from the rim past the legends and into the fields on both sides, with warm apricot toning lending an appealing glow to the luster. The open fields and central devices exhibit a more yellow coloration with a faint green tinge. The degree of remaining detail within the drapery, and especially the sharp detail within the reverse shield cruciform, suggest a grade far higher than what is assigned here. A coin that exceeds all of the requirements for this grade level. NGC EF-45.

Estimate: $4500.00- $6000.00
