RUSSIA. Moldavia & Wallachia. Lot of (5) Pattern 3 Dengi (Para), 1771-72. Sadagura. Catherine II (the Great) (1762-96). GOOD to CHOICE VERY GOOD.
Brekke-148#2, 148#3 & 148#10(3); Bit-1255(3), 1265 & 1267. Single examples of 1771 patterns, one each of the double headed eagle variety and Catherine cypher type. Also, three examples of the circulation struck coinage, all dated 1772. All five are well circulated but easily identifiable for type, and fully original with no efforts seen to improve. SCARCE and always in demand issues from this pivotal area in the Russo Turkish War. Approximate retail value of $1,500. Inspection advised. SOLD AS IS/NO RETURNS. GOOD to CHOICE VERY GOOD.
