SOUTH AFRICA. (59) Piece Collection of Certified Minor Coinage, ca. 1892-97. NGC VF-25 to ICG MS-64 RB.
59 pieces in lot. An astounding collection minted during the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek, and lacking only the crown size 5 Shilling coins and a few of the rarest dates. All pieces are certified by NGC, PCGS, NCS, or ICG with several mint state examples and many in solid grades for the type, along with about 7 coins in details graded holders. Heaviest in Threepence and Sixpence issues, with moderate duplication of dates, but with a decent spread of grades allowing for upgrades. Of note in the collection are an 1894 Shilling in NGC EF-45 (KM-5) and an 1893 2 Shilling in NGC VF-25 (KM-6), both highly desirable issues. Needless to say, a lot which begs to be looked at first hand and which will be of great interest to dealers and collectors alike. Retail value of about $4,300. Inspection advised.
